The Sunset Line

The Australian Premiere of the "Living Glow" Mystery Snail.

Foundation Stock: The Warm Spectrum

The Warm Spectrum represents the peak of our genetic work at the studio. This collection encompasses a range of light-reflecting gradients, from the soft, ethereal blush of the Sunrise Ivory to the deep, golden saturation of the true Sunset. Every specimen in this line—including our Peach Foot carriers—is hand-vetted for 100% shell integrity and a porcelain-smooth finish.

The collection breakdown

  • Sunrise Mystery Snails: Our most exclusive specimens, featuring a clean white base shell with a distinctive golden and pink blush. Their 'Living Glow' effect is most prominent in well-lit aquariums.

  • Sunset Mystery Snails: Known for their rich pigment and high-contrast banding, these snails bring a bold, fiery warmth to your tank.

  • Peach Foot Ivories: A unique genetic bridge, featuring the classic white porcelain shell carried by a warm, peach-toned foot.

Care Standards & Parameters

  • pH Range (7.6 – 8.0): We recommend maintaining this alkaline range to protect the porcelain finish from acidic erosion. Rapidly adjusting pH can stress aquatic life; always monitor stability over several days when making changes.

  • GH Baseline (8 – 15): A stable General Hardness (GH) provides the mineral foundation necessary for healthy physiological function. Establishing this baseline is a prerequisite before fine-tuning specific calcium concentrations.

  • Calcium Levels (100 – 150 ppm): For elite shell development, we target these concentrations. Community Tank Note: Always verify the specific tolerance levels of other tank inhabitants, as some species may require lower mineral concentrations than these specialized snails.

  • Nutritional Balance: While water parameters protect the shell's exterior, snails must ingest calcium to fuel internal growth. We recommend a varied diet rich in protein and calcium-heavy supplements to prevent thin or brittle shell development.

  • Acclimation & Stability: Our stock is raised in stable Australian aquarium conditions . To ensure a safe transition, all specimens must be slowly drip-acclimatized to your specific water parameters. Shell & Fin Aquatics is not responsible for losses due to improper acclimation or incompatible home water chemistry.

Our Sunrise and Sunset foundation lines are offered via Private Release only to ensure these rare genetics are placed with dedicated collectors. Due to the small-batch nature of our studio, these specimens are priced at $149.95 each .
